Luncheons are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Time: Social hour at 11:30 am - Lunch at 12:00 pm - Note time for lunch

Price:  $28.00 per person

Menu : 

• Chicken Piccata- With lemon, butter, garlic, capers, and white wine
• Grilled Salmon with mango papaya salsa served with starch and vegetables
• Eggplant parmigiana (vegetarian)

Desert: Strawberry Sundae

The meal includes a club salad with cranberries, oranges, walnuts, and blue cheese crumbles, sliced sourdough basket on each table and napkins and bread plate and will have water on each table and iced tea with sliced lemons and coffee available on a side table.

I'm a California native son, moved from Fresno to Marin after college.  I was hired by the County as a death investigator in 1975.  After 9 years I was appointed as the Asst. Coroner and 14 years later I ran for and was elected as the Coroner for Marin.  I served three full terms and retired in January 2011.

I raised my 2 children in Marinwood and currently live in Novato. I have hunted and fished all my life; I coached youth athletics while my kids were growing up.  I now watch my 8 grandchildren in their youth sports.

In my spare time I am working on my second book chronicling interesting cases that happened during my tenure in the Marin Coroner's office.

I have been an MCARE At-Large Director since January 1, 2023, and am the Scholarship Committee Chair.

Reservations are encouraged because Ken is a popular speaker and reservations they help us with the head count for the restaurant.

Reservation deadline is Friday October 10, 2025.

NOTE:  If you're paying with cash, please consider paying by check.  If you're paying by check, please make the check out beforehand.  Make the check payable to MCARE.

For registered guests that will be paying by cash or by check, we have 2 favors to ask.

First, we encourage you to come prepared with a check rather than pay cash.

Second, please make your check made out beforehand. Be sure to make it payable to MCARE.  NOTE:  The price for each luncheon may change so be sure to check your registration invoice.

This will make the check in process go much quicker. When paying by cash, it can slow everything down.
